Inspiring New Leaders

The Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) is designed to help high school students in our service territory grow as leaders. This action-packed program has a lot to offer.

• An exploration of diverse careers in energy

• Team-building activities (including a high-ropes challenge)

• Opportunity to test decision-making skills as an elected official

• Emergency response training

• Advice on preparing for life after high-school

YLS is the first step towards an even greater adventure – all participants will be considered for a once-in-a-lifetime Washington, D.C. experience with the National Rural Electric Youth Tour.
